OTHER CHURCHES OF INTEREST Chapel of Santiņa de Trasufre. Baroque church of Latin cross design and three altarpieces inside. Parish church of San Pedro de Coucieiro. The church was completely rebuilt during the XVIII century. A rectory, an "horreo", an atrium, and a space in the open-air where the local feasts are held complete this beautiful set of buildings. Church of Nuestra Seņora de La O. The current church is a product of various remodellings made at the end of the XVII century and the beginning of the XVIII. Church of San Pedro de Leis. Small Romanesque single-nave church with wooden roof and rectangular apse. Chapel of Santa Mariņa. Founded by the Bieito Fathers of Moraime in 1670, which today depends on the parish of San Pedro de Couceiro. Chapel of San Roque. This chapel is located next the Chorente village. Its pilminagre is the following Sunday since its festivity. Chapel of San Isidro de Quintans. Founded in the XVII century by a brotherhood, with Don Lope Vazquez, from Seņores, near Suxo, heading the list of brothers. Chapel of the Virgen del Pilar in Suxo. Founded by the parishioners in 1902. Opposite the chapel there is a "crucero" which was donated by inhabitants from Suxo who emigrated to Cuba. Parish church of A Grixa de Vilastoste. It has a baroque bell tower, separated from the church itself and on higher ground. Together with an "horreo" and a "crucero" it forms an curious set of stone structures. Chapel of Santo Outel del Castro. Built in honour of the saint from whom it takes its name, and founded in 1660 by Don Juan de Cantorna. Together with the chapel there is an interesting "crucero" which still preserves an interesting inscription that refers to the founders of the chapel. Parish church of San Fiz de Caberta. A small church, its oldest part dates from the XII century, modified towards 1700. On its main faįade we can see a stone statue of its patron saint. Near the church there is a "crucero". Parish church of San Tirso de Buituron. In front of the church there is a small square with a "crucero" and an old oak tree which, together with the surrounding buildings, give a traditional look to the place. Note: |
