Route 5: Romanesque Churches Route:

This route offers an incredible amount of architectural and cultural interest, as it links all the churches in the Romanesque style which exist in the borough. It isn't limited to a set route as it admits various ways to follow it and some of these overlap with previously described routes. We can, however, highlight two routes which begin in the town of Muxia (at the church of Santa Maria). One of them covers the churches of Santa Maria de Morquintian, San Cristovo de Nemiņa and Santa Leocadia de Frixe, mainly following stretches of routes 1 and 2; while the other would include the churches of San Xiao de Moraime, San Martiņo de Ozon and San Pedro de Leis, following a part of Route of St. James from Santiago to Muxia, towards San Martiņo, and from there through mountain roads until arriving at Leis.
